The 2025 1550 Frontier marks the much-anticipated return of a popular Stabicraft model. We have reworked and rearranged the model for broader end-user appeal and expanded on the features of its very popular smaller sibling, the 1450 Frontier while offering an open-boat style alternative to the immensely popular 1550 Fisher.

The Stabicraft 1550 Frontier takes compact fishing performance to the next level, building on the proven capability of the popular 1450 model with more space, more features, and greater versatility. With its wide and stable platform, the 1550 is designed to provide serious fishability in rivers, lakes and inshore coastal waters, while still being light and easy to tow, launch and retrieve. The Frontier’s open console layout gives anglers excellent visibility and freedom of movement, while Stabicraft’s renowned positive buoyancy and safety-first design deliver confidence in all conditions.

Upgrades over the 1450 include a larger deck footprint for improved comfort and fishing room, higher sides for extra security, and enhanced storage throughout. The 1550 Frontier also offers more customisation with optional underfloor fuel tank, greater console options, ability to factory fit a casting deck (removable), anchor winch compatibility and more. Whether you’re chasing snapper in the bay, trout in the lakes, or just enjoying a family day on the water, the 1550 Frontier is a versatile, rugged and reliable alloy boat that’s built to handle it all.

The Sportfish package is aimed at end-users wanting a few more features included as standard like the bow trolling motor bracket, fish pro seat & coaming handrails but it also presents a wider ability to option up further.

This package is powered by a Suzuki four-stroke engine with maximum horsepower, with all installation work carried out by our expert marine mechanics—professionals with over ten years of experience fitting out and fishing with Stabicraft boats. We use only the highest-quality components and provide expert advice to ensure you safely enjoy your new vessel. Additionally, all Stabicraft models come with a factory re-wire, guaranteeing a cleaner, more efficient finish and easy diagnostics.

Suzuki four-stroke outboard motors are truly in a class of their own. Removable Casting Platform
A removable casting platform in the bow is a great feature of the Profish package and an option in others. It is built tough enough to stand on with total confidence but still light enough for one person to carry & stow. This feature allows for the ability to quickly reconfigure your boat whether heading out to lure fish from the bow or to carry passengers in the bow seating area.

Flush Mount or Bracket Mount Consoles
Flexibility has been allowed to accept both flush mount electronics and binnacle mount. The standard console in all packages is set up to optimise a bracket mounted sounder with a large flat area on top behind the windscreen. However, you can option in a console with a bigger front face (Pictured left) that can accommodate up to a 15in flush mount screen in some brands. Maybe security is a factor or personal preference, either way, we have you covered.

Transom Options
The 1550 Frontier transom is an evolution of the 1550 Fisher transom architecture but with improvements made for better battery access & storage.
We have included a powder coated door that tidily hides the battery shelf and provides an additional storage compartment. Like the 1550 Fisher, the ski pole socket can take a pole-mounted bait board but we have also introduced a deluxe bait board with a dry storage locker on the Profish package and as optional on others.
